About Amy

Yoga has been a key part of Amy’s life, she discovered yoga in her teens and instantly felt relief, joy, and a way to navigate through intense emotions. Moving from low-self esteem to a deep respect for herself was one key benefit of practicing yoga, meditation and relaxation regularly.

With almost 18 years of experience working in schools, colleges and businesses, and a BA in Developmental Psychology, she has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to share. She is a British Wheel of Yoga accredited Yoga teacher, and has completed trainings in Children’s, Pregnancy, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Kundalini Yoga and Sound healing. She has taught classes for the NHS, in Harley Street and at community centers. More recently Frome College, Vallis First School and Marston Park and Prior Park School. She is now the Primary Yoga Teacher at Avanti School in Frome, and teaches across the curriculum.

Alongside yoga, Amy is an accomplished musician, and incorporates sound work into her classes –vocal toning, gong meditation, breath work and mantra. She writes and sings as part of the sacred sound duo Earth and also as a solo artist.
