Aramaic Lord’s Prayer
Amy has been delving into the Aramaic Lord’s Prayer for many years.
“The Prayer has been with me in the darkest and lightest of times, and the more I chant and connect to it the more power and strength it seems to gather.
It humbly reminds me that what I really need WILL be provided, it whispers to me to focus on the good that I already have in my life, it demands of me to let go of hatred and resentment, it asks of me to stand in my power and at the same time continue to be a loving force. The prayer speaks to me through micro daily miracles and also the colossal unbelievable movement of mountains, the words of Yeshua light up my Soul when internal and external voices are trying to dim my light, the prayer instills in me the power of Trusting with full abandonment; jumping fully into the magic & miracle of this Sacred Life with a knowing I/we will always be held!
Ameyn”
Amy & Kelly Shivani Rose have been collaborating together for some years and now host a monthly prayer group, come along to gather in community, to learn and chant this beautiful prayer.
The original meaning of Yeshua’s Prayer, spoken in Aramaic, is deeply profound and far more liberating than the version we’ve come to know in its religious context. It is soul-filled, and a soothing balm for the mind and body.
Each verse is potent, and like a gentle, loving guidance for connecting with the Divine within ourselves and with all that is around us. Its relevance transcends time, space and place. It is a prayer for all.

NB: this is the original version of the Lord’s Prayer. We learn it in Aramaic, which is the ancient language that Yeshua spoke. Neil Douglas-Klotz, Ph.D. is a teacher and scholar that specialises in the native traditions of Southwest Asia and is the author of Prayers of the Cosmos, which is the book we refer to when learning the prayer. He offers a number of transliterations from the original Aramaic directly into English, which brings a deeper dimension to Yeshua's words.
